Authorizes school boards of consolidated school districts to renew expiring referendums that were established during the consolidation process for terms up to ten years, without regard to the original pre-consolidation authorization terms

Clarifies that school boards may renew expiring referendums (including those from consolidations) by board action rather than requiring a new voter election, provided the per-pupil amount and term length remain the same as the original

Establishes that renewal resolutions must be adopted between July 1 of the second fiscal year before expiration and June 15 of the fiscal year before expiration, with resolutions becoming effective 60 days after adoption

Changes the deadline for submitting adopted renewal resolutions to the commissioner and county auditor from September 1 to August 15 of the fiscal year in which the referendum expires

Applies retroactively to school board resolutions adopted on or after June 16, 2024
