Appropriates $170,000 in FY2026 and $144,000 in FY2027 from the general fund to St. Paul Public Schools (ISD 625) for East African Magnet School

Funds professional development for teachers on using open source literacy repositories, translating culturally relevant materials, incorporating first language resources into instruction, and adapting stories for diverse learners

Grant money may be used for staff salaries and benefits or contracted third-party services for professional development

All literacy and professional development resources created must be shared statewide under a Creative Commons license at no cost to other Minnesota schools
