Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare must cover services provided by licensed pharmacists when those services fall within both a pharmacist's and physician's scope of practice

Pharmacists must be reimbursed at rates no lower than the standard payment rate for physicians performing the same service

Coverage applies to fee-for-service Medical Assistance, managed care plans, and county-based purchasing plans

Effective date is January 1, 2026, or upon federal approval, whichever is later

Commissioner of Human Services must notify the revisor of statutes when federal approval is obtained
