Amends Minnesota Statutes 181.988 to create new exceptions allowing enforceable non-compete agreements for employees earning $120,000+ annually whose primary duties involve research and development, creating/analyzing trade secrets, or managing teams responsible for such work

Permits enforceable non-compete agreements for any employee earning $500,000 or more annually, regardless of job duties

Retains existing exceptions allowing non-compete agreements during the sale of a business (with reasonable geographic and time restrictions) and in anticipation of business dissolution among partners, members, or shareholders

Preserves employee protections including the right to recover reasonable attorney fees when enforcing rights under this section, and ensures other contract provisions remain valid even if a non-compete clause is found unenforceable

Takes effect the day following final enactment
