Appropriates $1,810,000 from the general fund in fiscal year 2025 to the Department of Education for grants to install law enforcement emergency entry devices at school buildings

Eligible applicants include special or independent school districts, charter schools, and cooperative units serving students, with a maximum grant of $1,000 per building

Law enforcement emergency entry devices are defined as exterior secure master key boxes meeting Underwriters Laboratories Standard 1037 that allow emergency law enforcement access from outside school buildings

Cancels any unobligated funds remaining from the 2018 school safety grants appropriation (Laws 2018, chapter 214)

Grant recipients must update their school safety plans to include information on the entry devices; up to 5% of the appropriation may be used for administrative costs, with funds available until June 30, 2026
