Federal immigration officers must present valid identification, a written statement of purpose, and a judicial warrant issued by a state or federal judge to enter public or eligible private postsecondary campuses in Minnesota.

Educational institutions are prohibited from disclosing student data for civil immigration enforcement purposes without a judicial order or judicially issued subpoena.

Schools may not designate as directory information any data indicating an individual is not a U.S. citizen or national, including international student status.

Postsecondary institutions must notify students during registration of their constitutional rights regarding civil immigration enforcement and post this information on campus.

Institutional employees acting in good faith are shielded from personal liability under these provisions, which take effect the day following final enactment.
