Eliminates the requirement for the school trust lands director to submit an annual budget and management plan with proposed legislative changes to the Legislative Permanent School Fund Commission

Replaces quarterly public meeting reporting requirements with a single annual written report due January 15 each year to the Legislative Permanent School Fund Commission

Annual report must include information on asset management strategies, management policies and revenue-generating opportunities, financial position of trust land assets, recommended statutory changes, and distributions to public schools and charter schools

Requires the commissioners of natural resources and education to provide data necessary for the director to complete the annual report

Effective date: July 1, 2026
