Licensed and certified license-exempt child care centers must not allow federal agents from DHS, ICE, CBP, or USCIS to enter without valid identification, a written statement of purpose, a valid judicial warrant, and approval from the license holder

Even when federal agents meet all entry requirements, child care centers must restrict their access to areas where children are not present

Applies to directors, staff, substitutes, and unsupervised volunteers at child care centers

Exceptions exist for entry required by state or federal law or to administer state/federally supported child care programs

Effective the day following final enactment
