Amends Minnesota Statutes section 169.71 to explicitly authorize optometrists (in addition to physicians) to prescribe tinted window glazing materials for vehicles based on medical need

Prescriptions for medical window tinting must specify whether the condition is temporary or permanent, the minimum light transmittance percentage needed, and include an expiration date no more than two years from issuance (unless the condition is permanent)

Allows drivers to use window tinting prescribed for a family member (parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, spouse) or a person they serve as personal care attendant, provided the prescription specifies up to two vehicles by make, model, and license plate

Effective retroactively from July 1, 2025, applying to prescriptions issued on or after that date
