Repeals Minnesota's requirement for the commissioner to adopt new model residential energy codes beginning in 2026, including the mandate to adopt each new edition of the International Energy Conservation Code

Eliminates the target requiring residential energy codes in effect by 2038 to achieve a 70 percent reduction in annual net energy consumption compared to the 2006 baseline

Removes the requirement for incremental residential energy code adoptions from 2026 to 2038 that would progressively move toward the 70 percent energy reduction goal

Eliminates the annual reporting requirement for the commissioner to submit progress reports to legislative committees following each new residential energy code adoption

Retains existing commercial energy code requirements, including the 80 percent energy reduction target by 2036 using ASHRAE 90.1 standards
