Repeals Minnesota Statutes section 15.066, subdivision 3, which currently allows gubernatorial appointments to be automatically confirmed if the legislature does not act within 60 legislative days

Under current law being repealed, appointments requiring only Senate confirmation are deemed approved if the Senate does not reject them within 60 legislative days of receiving the appointment letter

For appointments requiring both Senate and House confirmation, current law deems them approved if neither chamber rejects them within 60 legislative days

Removes the automatic confirmation mechanism, meaning legislative inaction would no longer result in appointment approval

Effective the day following final enactment
