Appropriates $8,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 from the trunk highway fund to expand U.S. Highway 169 from two lanes to a four-lane divided highway between Taconite and Pengilly in Itasca County

Extends the availability deadline for a prior $6,000,000 appropriation (from Laws 2023) from June 30, 2027 to June 30, 2029

Funds cover planning, route selection, predesign, design, surface and mineral title searches, engineering, and environmental analysis and remediation

Both appropriations are one-time funding available until June 30, 2029

Project segment runs from Itasca County State-Aid Highway 7 in Taconite to Trunk Highway 65 near Pengilly
