Creates Distinguished Flying Cross special license plates for recipients of the Distinguished Flying Cross who own passenger automobiles, one-ton pickup trucks, motorcycles, or recreational vehicles

Plates issued free of charge with no fees for initial issuance, replacement if damaged, or subsequent annual registration

Plate design must include the Distinguished Flying Cross medal and the phrase "DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS," developed by the commissioner in consultation with the commissioner of veterans affairs

Plates may be transferred to another qualifying vehicle registered to the same individual without fee upon notification to the commissioner

Effective January 1, 2027, with applications accepted only at time of renewal or first registration
