Requires all driver's license and ID card applications to include a statement warning that only U.S. citizens may vote, that voting while ineligible is a felony punishable by up to 5 years imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine, and that conviction may lead to deportation

Changes noncompliant license/ID applications from not requiring proof of citizenship to requiring applicants be asked to demonstrate U.S. citizenship or lawful presence

Mandates that the commissioner or driver's license agent record whether citizenship or lawful presence was demonstrated and which documents were provided

Restricts use of collected citizenship data solely for improving voter registration record accuracy under section 171.12, subdivision 7a

Amends Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 171.06, subdivisions 1 and 8
