Prohibits denial of free K-12 public education to any child based on actual or perceived immigration status of the child or their parent/guardian, consistent with the U.S. Supreme Court's Plyler v. Doe (1982) decision

Bars schools from collecting citizenship or immigration status information unless required by law, and prohibits designating immigration status, citizenship, or place of birth as directory information

Prohibits schools from threatening to disclose or disclosing immigration status information to law enforcement, immigration agencies, or other entities

Requires schools by July 1, 2027 to develop procedures for reviewing law enforcement requests to enter school facilities, including protocols for warrant review, monitoring interactions, and notifying parents before allowing immigration enforcement access to students

Applies to school districts, charter schools, and cooperative units; excludes school resource officers from the definition of "law enforcement agent" subject to these restrictions
