Expands the prohibition on sitting legislators accepting employment or compensation from lobbying-related businesses to also include public employers (federal, state, territorial, or local government entities) that employ or contract with lobbyists

Broadens restricted job duties beyond just "acting in that capacity" to specifically include lobbying, government relations, government affairs, and providing direct or indirect consulting or advice that helps employers deliver lobbying services to clients

Removes "administrative support" from the list of prohibited activities, narrowing that aspect of the restriction

Adds a definition of "public employer" to cover all branches and levels of government

Effective date: January 1, 2027
