Extends the availability of $250,000 appropriated to the Office of Higher Education for peace officer use of force training grants from the original expiration date to June 30, 2027

Funds provide reimbursement grants to postsecondary schools certified to offer professional peace officer education programs, with up to 2.5% allocated for administration and monitoring

Eligible training must include scenario-based instruction using real firearms with nonlethal ammunition, covering de-escalation methods, bias motivation, defensive tactics, and force-on-force training

Training programs must also address physical and psychological effects of stress before, during, and after high-risk incidents, and be offered at no charge to officers or agencies

Postsecondary schools receive reimbursement at $450 per officer who completes training and must submit officer names and license numbers to the Office of Higher Education
