Tax revenues must fund three specific projects: $25,000,000 for the East Metro Public Safety Training Facility, $48,000,000 for the Maplewood Community Center, and $8,000,000 for Afton Heights Park

Permits the city to issue bonds up to $81,000,000 (plus issuance costs) to finance the projects, with bonds excluded from city debt limitations

Tax expires at the earlier of 20 years after first imposed or when sufficient revenue is collected to cover all project and bond costs

Effective the day after the city of Maplewood governing body and chief clerical officer comply with statutory requirements
