Public members of the Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council may not serve more than eight years total on the council

Public members may serve an additional six months beyond the eight-year limit if necessary to fill a vacancy

Effective July 1, 2026, applying to appointments made on or after that date

Years served on the council before July 1, 2026 count toward the eight-year term limit
