Exempts individuals in positions regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation under 49 U.S.C. § 31502 (which covers commercial motor vehicle operators' qualifications and hours of service) from Minnesota's Paid Leave Law

Exempts individuals hired by businesses classified under Standard Industrial Codes (SIC) 4212-01 through 4231-02, which covers Motor Freight Transportation and Warehousing industries

Amends both the "covered employment" and "employee" definitions in Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 268B.01, subdivisions 15 and 17

Allows excluded entities to voluntarily opt into paid leave coverage through a procedure established by the commissioner
