Establishes the Minnesota Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as a new state agency to serve as a single point of accountability for enforcing consumer financial laws and protecting consumers in the financial marketplace

Commissioner appointed by the governor with senate confirmation; duties include identifying unfair, deceptive, or abusive practices, enforcing anti-discrimination laws in consumer finance, investigating complaints, enhancing financial education, and monitoring markets for consumer risks

Directs the bureau to recruit investigators with federal CFPB experience and expertise in banking, student loans, mortgages, auto lending, and other financial products

Appropriates unspecified amounts from the general fund for fiscal years 2026 and 2027 for bureau operations and administration

Amends existing statutes to add the bureau to lists of state agencies for Tribal consultation requirements, agency head salary determination, and designation of unclassified positions
