Requires absentee ballot applications that would result in mailed ballots to be verified against government databases (driver's license, state ID, or Social Security records) before the ballot can be sent

County auditors and municipal clerks must electronically submit applications to the Secretary of State for verification through a secure website maintained for this purpose

Secretary of State must review all unverifiable applications for suspicious activity and forward such applications to law enforcement for investigation

Permanent absentee voters must be validated against government databases 60-75 days before each primary and general election; voters who cannot be verified will have their status changed to "challenged" and be removed from the permanent absentee voter list with notification

Effective July 1, 2026, applying to applications submitted and elections occurring on or after that date
