Adds a new statutory definition of "medical provider" for the Teachers Retirement Association (TRA) to include physicians, chiropractors, physician assistants, APRNs, and psychologists (for mental impairments)

Allows physician assistants to submit medical reports supporting a member's application for disability pension benefits, expanding beyond the previous requirement for physicians only

Reduces the minimum number of medical providers required to examine a member for disability determination from "at least two" to "one or more"

Permits the TRA board to require disability claimants to undergo examination by a "medical provider" rather than specifically a "physician" when evaluating claims

Effective the day following final enactment
