Extends the availability of a $2,300,000 grant to the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa from June 30, 2026 to June 30, 2029 for expanding Minnesota's wild elk population and range

Grant includes consideration for relocating elk from existing herds in northwest Minnesota to the Fond du Lac State Forest and Fond du Lac Reservation in Carlton and southern St. Louis Counties

$300,000 of the grant total is designated for the Department of Natural Resources to support elk reintroduction planning and coordination

Requires the Fond du Lac Band to work with DNR on developing capture and handling protocols, cervid disease management protocols, and post-release state and Tribal elk co-management plans
