Federal law enforcement officers performing duties in Minnesota would commit a misdemeanor if they do not hold an associate's or bachelor's degree and meet Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board licensure standards

Covered federal agencies include the FBI, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service, Secret Service, ATF, Department of Homeland Security, and U.S. Postal Inspection Service

The Peace Officer Standards and Training Board would designate a law enforcement agency to investigate violations, with the attorney general responsible for prosecutions

Repeat violations would be elevated from a misdemeanor to a gross misdemeanor

Amends Minnesota Statutes section 626.863 regarding unauthorized practice of peace officer duties
