Applies specifically to overdimensional loads transporting manufactured homes or modular homes as defined in Minnesota Statutes section 327.31

Prohibits a peace officer who requires an escort beyond what is mandated by existing law from personally serving as that escort or receiving compensation for the escort service

Requires the Commissioner of Public Safety to pay for peace officer escort costs from existing department funds when an officer imposes escort requirements exceeding statutory minimums

Clarifies that briefly crossing the centerline (as permitted under section 169.18) does not count as extending beyond the left of centerline for determining escort requirements
