Creates 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline special license plates available for passenger automobiles, one-ton pickup trucks, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles beginning January 1, 2027

Requires applicants to pay a $25 contribution to a new lethal means safety account, in addition to standard plate fees and registration taxes

Plate design must incorporate the 988 Lifeline logo, developed in consultation with the Commissioner of Health and suicide awareness organizations

Establishes the lethal means safety account in the special revenue fund to purchase gun safety tools (cable locks, trigger locks, gun safes) and fund a statewide gun storage mapping initiative

Allows Minnesota registered nonprofits, including suicide awareness organizations, to apply to receive and distribute gun safety tools to the public at no charge
