Entities operating commercial autonomous vehicles in Minnesota must certify to the commissioner that their fleet includes at least two wheelchair accessible vehicles within one year of beginning operations

"Autonomous vehicle" is defined as vehicles meeting SAE International Level 3, 4, or 5 driving automation standards per the April 2021 revision of standard J3016

Commercial autonomous vehicle operations includes using autonomous vehicles for transporting passengers or goods

Commissioner may suspend an entity's authorization to operate commercial autonomous vehicles in the state if wheelchair accessibility requirements are not met

Effective the day following final enactment
