Amends Minnesota Statutes section 624.712, subdivision 5, which defines "crime of violence" for purposes of firearms-related crimes and restrictions

Removes felony drug offenses under chapter 152 (drugs, controlled substances) from the list of crimes that qualify as a "crime of violence"

Maintains all other qualifying offenses including murder, assault, robbery, kidnapping, sexual conduct crimes, arson, burglary, and weapons offenses

Effect would be that individuals with felony drug convictions would no longer be automatically disqualified from firearms rights under the "crime of violence" prohibition
