Replaces the explicit list of seven metropolitan area counties (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington) with a cross-reference to the definition in section 473.121, subdivision 2 for regional transportation sales tax purposes

Changes the definition of "metropolitan county area" for metropolitan sales tax purposes by referencing section 473.121, subdivision 2 instead of subdivision 4

Updates terminology from "metropolitan counties" to "metropolitan area" for the 0.25 percent metropolitan region sales and use tax imposed by the Metropolitan Council

All changes take effect for sales and purchases made after June 30, 2025
