Amends Minnesota Statutes section 181.9445, subdivision 5, to add a new exclusion to the definition of "employee" for earned sick and safe time purposes

Excludes inmates of correctional facilities who perform work for the correctional facility while incarcerated from eligibility for earned sick and safe time benefits

Maintains existing exclusions for independent contractors, volunteer/paid on-call firefighters and ambulance personnel, elected officials, and short-term farm workers (28 days or less per year)

Employees covered under the law must be anticipated to work at least 80 hours per year in Minnesota, including temporary and part-time workers
