Applies to food service establishments that are part of a chain of 15 or more locations nationally, operate under common ownership or control, or are franchised outlets operating under the same name.

Requires all menu boards and menus to display the total calories for each menu item in a clear, conspicuous manner adjacent to the item name and price, using equally prominent font size.

Calorie values must be based on verifiable analysis using nutrient databases, laboratory testing, or other reliable methods, rounded to the nearest 10 calories for values over 50 calories and to the nearest 5 calories for values of 50 calories or less.

For items with multiple varieties or flavors, establishments must display a calorie range showing minimum to maximum values unless individual calorie information is provided on food item tags for each variety.

Does not apply to menu items listed for less than 30 days in a calendar year or to items with non-standardized portion sizes.
