Requires all license plate tabs issued on or after January 1, 2011 to be printed so that the tab number positively correlates with the license plate or plates issued by the Department of Revenue

Maintains existing requirement that vehicle owners affix and display tabs in the designated area of the license plate, with no more than one tab per plate

Preserves requirement that tabs serve as prima facie evidence that registration fees have been paid when properly attached to a vehicle

Confirms that license plates must be issued for a period of at least six years, with tabs issued annually or biennially as evidence of current registration

Exempts permanent nonexpiring license plates issued to commercial motor vehicles and trailers registered under section 301.041 from tab requirements
