Department of Health and Senior Services must develop and disseminate public information on uterine fibroids, subject to appropriations, including incidence and prevalence among women, elevated risk for minority women, and available treatment options for symptomatic cases

Department may distribute information directly or through partnerships with nonprofit organizations, consumer groups, educational institutions, media outlets, and federal, state, or local agencies

Department must provide health care providers with current information on uterine fibroids, including elevated risk for minority women and available treatment options for symptomatic cases

"Minority women" is defined as women who are members of a racial and ethnic minority group as defined in 42 U.S.C. Section 300u-6(g)
