Rental companies in Missouri using electronic surveillance technology to track renters and impose fines or surcharges must provide a separate rental agreement contract disclosing this technology before issuing the vehicle or motorcycle.

The disclosure agreement must state that the vehicle or motorcycle contains electronic surveillance technology, that it will be used to track the renter's operation, and that fines and surcharges may be imposed for improper operation.

Rental companies must post signage in or on the rental vehicle or motorcycle that is visible to the operator indicating the presence of electronic surveillance technology and that fines and surcharges may be imposed for improper operation.

Requirements apply to all rental companies doing business in Missouri that rent passenger vehicles or motorcycles using electronic surveillance for tracking purposes.
