Telecommunications carriers must provide call location information to law enforcement officials or agencies upon request during emergency situations involving danger of death or serious physical injury.

Location information can be provided for calls requesting emergency service or for "ping locate" operations when disclosure is required without delay in genuine emergencies.

Telecommunications carriers and their officers, employees, and agents are granted immunity from civil lawsuits for providing location information or assistance to law enforcement in accordance with this section.
