Department of Revenue may issue special event motor vehicle auction licenses for auctions where at least 90% of vehicles are 10+ years old, lasting no more than 3 consecutive calendar days, and held no more than twice per year

Applicants must submit license applications at least 90 days before the auction, register to conduct business in Missouri, and provide a $100,000 corporate surety bond or irrevocable letter of credit

Licensees must submit a report within 10 days after the auction listing the make, model, year, and vehicle identification number of all vehicles auctioned; violation is a class A misdemeanor

License fee is $1,000, with an additional $500 administrative fee charged per vehicle auctioned in violation of the 90% requirement

Sellers at special event auctions must provide buyers with current contact information including name, address, and telephone number
