Allows ambulance districts established on or after August 28, 2010, to levy and impose a sales tax in lieu of a property tax to fund operations.

Requires the petition to create an ambulance district to state whether the district will be funded by property tax or sales tax.

Permits districts to levy a property tax not to exceed 30 cents per $100 of assessed valuation, or alternatively a sales tax at a specified rate, without requiring voter approval for the base amount.

Requires election notices to inform voters of the power to levy either a property tax or sales tax and to state the rate of the sales tax.

Modifies ballot language to include the option of imposing a sales tax not exceeding a specified percent as an alternative to the property tax option.
