Authorizes special motor vehicle license plates for recipients of the military service award known as the Legion of Merit medal.

Applicants must submit proof of being a Legion of Merit medal recipient to the director of revenue using a form provided by the state.

License plates shall display "LEGION OF MERIT" instead of "SHOW-ME STATE" and include an image of the Legion of Merit medal.

An additional fee equal to the personalized license plate fee is charged for each set of Legion of Merit plates issued.

Plates are available for vehicles owned solely or jointly by the qualified person, excluding apportioned motor vehicles and commercial vehicles exceeding 18,000 pounds gross weight, with no limit on the number of plates per person.
