Requires health carriers and health benefit plans in Missouri to cover habilitative services (occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy) for children under 18 with neurologic, congenital, genetic, or early acquired disorders, effective January 1, 2011

Covered disorders include autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, and conditions resulting from early childhood illness, trauma, or injury, when diagnosed by a licensed physician

Treatment must be administered by licensed speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, or physical therapists upon physician referral, and must be determined medically necessary

Coverage cannot be subject to greater deductibles, co-payments, or coinsurance than those applied to physical illness services

Health carriers are not required to reimburse for services that are solely educational in nature or already covered under state or federal educational funding programs
