Prevents the Department of Revenue from releasing home addresses or other motor vehicle and driver registration information for county, state, or federal parole officers, federal pretrial officers, peace officers, judges, and their immediate family members based on specific requests.

Allows individuals with covered status (parole officers, pretrial officers, peace officers, judges) to notify the Department of Revenue to have their records and their immediate family's records protected and kept confidential.

Exempts the confidentiality restrictions for motor registration lists under section 32.055 and for officers holding class A, B, or C commercial driver's licenses under federal Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act.

Authorizes federal, state, county, municipal law enforcement, public safety agencies, and members of state and federal judiciaries to request special license plates and drivers licenses for legitimate law enforcement or public safety purposes.

Makes all records related to the request, issuance, retention, or disposal of special law enforcement or public safety license plates and drivers licenses confidential and exempt from public disclosure.
