Defines key terms including "cadastral parcel mapping" (accurately delineated identification of real property parcels based on the U.S. Public Land Survey System), "digital cadastral parcel mapping" (automated mapping and data management systems), and "tax map" (document representing location and dimensions of taxable land parcels).

Adds "creating, preparing, or modifying electronic or computerized data" related to professional land surveying activities to the list of services that professional land surveyors can perform under section 327.272.

Clarifies that digital cadastral parcel mapping rules apply unless the requesting party specifies otherwise in writing, the map was already in use before rules were adopted, or contracting parties agreed to different terms before the rules took effect.

Specifies that duties listed for professional land surveyors are not exclusive to them unless they affect real property rights, defined as a recordable interest in real estate affecting the location of land boundary lines.
