Repeals section 332.011 and enacts three new sections (332.011, 332.098, and 332.103) relating to dental hygienists and expanded-functions dental assistants

Requires all persons performing expanded-functions duties to obtain a permit from the Missouri Dental Board and perform duties under their own name

Defines "expanded-functions duties" as reversible acts considered the practice of dentistry that the board specifies by rule may be delegated to dental assistants or dental hygienists with permits

Requires expanded-functions permits to be renewed every five years and subjects them to discipline under section 332.321

Exempts licensed dentists from permitting requirements and allows all dental assistants and certified dental assistants to continue performing tooth polishing without permits
