Allows licensed funeral establishments to dispose of cremated remains in accordance with the cremation contract, unless prohibited by law.

Permits delivery of cremated remains to another licensed funeral establishment that contracted for the cremation, or to the person who contracted for the cremation.

Allows unclaimed cremated remains to be scattered, buried, interred in a scatter garden, pond, columbarium, or other dedicated place, or delivered to persons listed in section 194.119.

Requires funeral establishments to send written notice by mail with confirmation of delivery at least 90 days before disposing of unclaimed remains, informing the contracting party they may claim the remains within that period.

Removes the requirement for newspaper publication as an alternative notification method if mailed notice cannot be delivered.
