Parents or legal guardians may request access to investigation records regarding denial, suspension, or revocation of a specific foster home license if that person provides or may provide care to their child.

Requests must be submitted in writing to the division director with a signed and notarized release form from the foster home provider, including their full name, date of birth, and Social Security number.

Response must be limited to information about the nature and disposition of any denial, suspension, or revocation and shall not include identifying information about any other persons.

The division must provide the response within ten working days of receiving the request.

Foster and adoptive home licensure records are classified as closed records and are not subject to Missouri's public records law (chapter 610), except as provided in this section.
