Travel clubs must maintain an effective registration statement with the Missouri attorney general disclosing business information, ownership details, membership locations, and other operational specifics.

Travel clubs must demonstrate possession of at least $250,000 in liquid assets held as certificates of deposit, letters of credit from banking institutions in good standing, or surety bonds to offer vacation benefits for sale.

Travel clubs previously adjudged to have failed their legal obligations must demonstrate possession of additional assets of at least $250,000 within 30 days of adjudication, or their registration becomes ineffective.

Upon written notification of dissolution, the attorney general must release held assets to the travel club within 30 days if the travel club has satisfied its legal obligations and has no pending alleged violations.

The attorney general must respond to registration submissions within 30 days and must identify any deficiencies within 15 working days of initial filing; the act is declared an emergency measure effective immediately upon passage.
