University of Missouri employees called to active military duty or reserve service for extended and indefinite periods are entitled to leave of absence without loss of position, seniority, tenure, or accumulated leave.

Military service leave does not result in impairment of performance appraisal, pay status, work schedule, or retirement benefits for University of Missouri employees.

University of Missouri employees elected to public office are entitled to leave of absence to serve until their public service is completed.

Employees on public service leave retain all employment protections including position, seniority, tenure, accumulated leave, pay status, work schedule, and retirement benefits without diminishment or elimination.
