Increases the maximum hours retired teachers can work from 750 to 750 hours in any one school year without losing their retirement allowance.

Raises the earnings cap for retired teachers from 50 percent to 75 percent of annual compensation for the position filled, based on the district's salary schedule or comparable position.

Adds a new provision requiring retired teachers to contribute to the retirement system if they work between 551 and 749 hours in a school year, while those working 550 hours or fewer remain exempt from contributions.

Clarifies that retired teachers employed on a regular, full-time basis remain ineligible to receive retirement benefits during months of such employment and must contribute to the retirement system.

Applies to retired teachers receiving allowances under sections 169.010 to 169.141, excluding those retired for disability.
