Establishes a Joint Interim Committee on Reducing the Size of State Government composed of 10 members: 3 majority and 2 minority party members from the Senate, and 3 majority and 2 minority party members from the House.

Committee charged with examining each state department and agency to identify programs and bureaucracies for elimination or reduction, and developing recommendations to reduce government size, identify inefficient spending, and address budget shortfalls.

Committee must submit its recommendations to the House Budget Committee and Senate Appropriations Committee by December 31, 2010.

Committee authorized to function during the legislative interim between the Second Regular Session of the 95th General Assembly through December 31, 2010, with authority to solicit input from state departments, agencies, political subdivisions, and the general public.

Legislative staff from Senate Appropriations, Senate Research, House Appropriations, House Research, and the Joint Committee on Legislative Research shall provide support services, with expenses paid from the Joint Contingent Fund.
