Employers must verify that registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and advanced practice registered nurses have a current, valid license before hiring and must re-verify licensure status coinciding with license renewal.

Expands the definition of entities required to report disciplinary actions to include home health agencies, nursing homes, and any entity employing or contracting with licensed health care professionals, in addition to hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers.

Chief executives of covered entities must report any disciplinary action against health care professionals or voluntary resignations involving complaints that could have led to discipline within 15 days to the appropriate licensing authority.

Reports must include the reporting person's name and contact information, the subject's name and contact information, detailed facts and dates of occurrence, and court information if applicable.

Provides immunity from liability for good faith reporting and prohibits reported disciplinary records from being used against health care professionals in other administrative or judicial proceedings; violations constitute an infraction.
